What SAENA does


St. Anthony East Neighborhood Association (SAENA) is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to building relationships with community members and supporting neighborhood vitality in the St. Anthony East neighborhood of Northeast Minneapolis, Minnesota.


SAENA empowers people to invest, engage, and connect in the St. Anthony East neighborhood of Northeast Minneapolis.


We are the first stop for community members to be in community, be in the know, and build a neighborhood we are proud to call home.

St. Anthony East is your home in Northeast Minneapolis. With skyline views of downtown Minneapolis, the neighborhood serves as a residential hub in one of the city’s most vibrant communities.

Our size makes us special: as the second-smallest neighborhood in Minneapolis, St. Anthony East is home to just over 1,000 residents. Rooted in close-knit residential community in the heart of Northeast, we are truly a small town in the city.

How SAENA works

We strive to represent the neighborhood’s needs through outreach such as mailings, door knocking, and holding public meetings. SAENA encourages resident involvement in every aspect of what we do. There are lots of ways to get involved!

Parks and gardens

SAENA manages two beautiful green spaces, St. Anthony Park and Community Commons Park.

SAENA also operates Summer Street Garden, a community garden located in Community Commons Park.
