The Saint Anthony East Neighborhood Association owns and maintains the property at the southwest corner of the intersection of Central Avenue and Broadway Street Northeast. The park is an important part of the neighborhoods history and figures to be an important community resource in the future. We encourage children to enjoy the playground, or residents to walk their dogs across the open lawn and rolling hills.
The Community Commons Park site is accessible via stairs from Broadway Street down to Autumn Street and at grade via the Summer Street cul-de-sac between Central and Van Buren Street. Neighborhood volunteers manage a community garden just south of the park.
Community Commons Park Committee meets on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at Clare Housing at 7pm. If you’d like to be a part of the team behind the park improvements, please email email@example.com for more details!
Check out our brand new rain garden at the north end of Community Commons Park! The rain garden will manage stormwater at the park which protects our watershed, as well as provide educational opportunities for residents.
Thank you to Metro Blooms, Mississippi Watershed Management Organization, Master Water Stewards, and Hennepin County Government for your partnership and dedicated efforts to help St. Anthony East residents protect the Mississippi Watershed and beautify the neighborhood.
